Psychic: An individual with paranormal gifts such as Mediums and Clairvoyants. Psychics can use many techniques to give readings. Some may also use tools to assist them.
Medium: A medium is someone who can act as a voice to pass messages between the living and the dead. They may listen to and relay a message, or the spirit may speak directly through them. Some may also use a writing pad to relay messages. This is known as Ghost Writing.
Clairvoyant: Literally meaning “Clear Visibility”. A clairvoyant has the ability to see pictures or events in their minds eye.
Some psychics use tools to get information and give readings. Below are some of the tools they may use with a brief explanation.
Tarot Cards: A set of 78 cards with pictures and symbols. Used to help psychics predict the future events.
Crystal Ball: A ball made from Quartz crystal or glass used to aid Clairvoyance.
Runes: There are many types of runes, all containing alphabets of some sort. Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and modern Wiccan runes are just a few. They are usually tossed randomly after deciding a subject, and then deciphered based on their positioning.
Dowsing: Dowsing is the ability to seek answers and interpret them by using rods or a pendulum.
Numerology: An ancient science that offers insight into the personality by assigning numeric values to names and birth dates, calculating numerological values and then interpreting the results.
Palmistry: Hand Reading. The practice of reading an individual’s past, present and future, as well as health and character, by studying the lines, shape and texture of the individual’s hands.
Aura Reading: An aura is a coloured glow surrounding a person. This can be seen in person or in a photograph. Different colours have different meanings.
Scrying: A form of divination which involves staring into an object like a candle flame, a crystal ball, a still pool of water or a mirror (or something similar) to see images or gain information.
